The format continues with Alan and event partner Jamie Kelly handpicking another five of the best unsigned bands and giving them the opportunity to perform on the Greasy Lips Club stage. With the focus very much the untamed talent on show, Alan will offer his time, knowledge and advice to the bands and also push the acts and event through his blogs.

In addition to this great live line up, Alan has invited guests Drew McConnell and Mik Withnal of Babyshambles, and Paul Gallagher to take the party into the small hours with exclusive DJ sets. With Babyshambles currently producing the most incredible music and live shows and Paul Gallagher reknowned for delivering a mix of amazing music from behind the decks (well he is of course of good stock!) there is no doubt that they will take the roof off the Greasy Lips venue alongside residents Soulboymystic Collective.

The acts Alan McGee has been involved with over the last 20 years, reads like a who’s who of modern British indie/rock (the guy has managed everyone from Mogwai to The Charlatans to The Libertines and launched the careers of Oasis and The Hives). He fashioned Britpop out of his original Creation Records imprint and triumphantly returned with the Poptone label. As you can imagine, this new concept club night not only offers a platform for those involved to push their sound, but a chance to really develop their own path for the future.

So it is with no great surprise that the five bands performing on this night will be of the highest quality and all primed to the peak of their stage rocking best to make the most of this opportunity.

All the ingredients are in place except one – just add people!
